Electric vehicle charging station in Thanh Xuân, Hanoi area: 6 real charging points around Khuất Duy Tiến, Lê Văn Lương, and Ngụy Như Kon Tum

20/08/2026

Thanh Xuân is the area with the densest EVsafe coverage in Hanoi: 6 charging points, totaling 49 ports, most of which are located right in the parking lots of high-rise apartment buildings along Khuất Duy Tiến and Lê Văn Lương. Real addresses, real number of ports, and how the building management installs additional stations.

If you own an electric motorcycle and live around Khuất Duy Tiến, Lê Văn Lương, or Vũ Tông Phan, this is the area with the most EVsafe charging points in Hanoi as of August 2026: 6 points with a total of 49 charging ports. Alone, the alley 164 Khuất Duy Tiến has two apartment buildings that have installed charging stations. This article lists the exact addresses of each point, explains why this area has so many stations, and describes how property owners or building management can install additional ones.

Note on administrative boundaries: from July 1, 2025, according to Resolution 1656/NQ-UBTVQH15, Hanoi abolished the district level and reorganized into 126 communes and wards. In this article, the term "Thanh Xuân area" is used in the familiar way that locals call it to make it easy for you to look up, not as an administrative unit name. The addresses of each station are recorded according to the current ward.

Why the Thanh Xuân area has so many charging stations

Thanh Xuân is different from the rest of Hanoi's network in one way: most of the charging points are located within the grounds of high-rise apartment buildings, rather than at street cafes or convenience stores like in other areas.

  • Lê Văn Lương and Khuất Duy Tiến axes are the most densely packed high-rise areas in Hanoi. Alone in the alley 164 Khuất Duy Tiến, there are two buildings that have installed EVsafe stations: Việt Đức Complex with 11 ports and JSC 34 apartment building with 9 ports.
  • The station at 43 Lê Văn Lương, Ban cơ yếu Chính phủ apartment building, has 17 ports, which is the EVsafe station with the most ports in all of Hanoi. Such a scale can only be achieved when the building has its own parking lot and a management board to sign off on it.
  • The elevated ring road 3 runs along Khuất Duy Tiến, so the buildings here are all set back deep in the alleys and have their own parking lots, providing enough space to install multi-port stations.
  • Scattered among the high-rise buildings are small streets like Quan Nhân, Vũ Tông Phan, and Ngụy Như Kon Tum. There, EVsafe charging stations are attached to cafes and street-front shops, serving renters and passersby.

A small note but often causes confusion: the Duy Quân Coffee station is still listed as "Trung Hoà, Caux Giấy" in many places according to the old system. Quan Nhân street belongs to the Nhân Chính ward, old Thanh Xuân district, and after rearrangement, it is located in Thanh Xuân ward. Not Caux Giấy.

The map of all charging points with their operating status is available at the list of EVsafe charging stations. The Vui Vui Coffee & Tea station was once recorded in the check-in article on the day the station opened.

The private charging problem of high-rise apartments in Thanh Xuân

In this area, residents rarely lack parking spaces. What is lacking is a place to charge.

  • Most apartments along Lê Văn Lương and Khuất Duy Tiến were completed during the period when electric motorcycles were not considered: few household sockets, no separate protective devices for each charging position.
  • After several fires related to electric vehicles, many management boards issued notices banning charging in basements. Residents then switched to removing batteries and taking them to their apartments, which means transferring the risk to the most dangerous place.
  • A twenty-story building has hundreds of households, so a few scattered sockets can't solve the problem. That's why the station here has to be calculated in tens of ports: 17 ports at 43 Lê Văn Lương, 11 ports at Việt Đức Complex, 9 ports at JSC 34.
  • For renters in the alleys around Quan Nhân and Vũ Tông Phan, the problem is the opposite: no common yard, having to rely on public charging points right on the street.

  • Revenue reconciliation is done twice a month, on the 15th and 30th.

The scale in Thanh Xuân varies greatly, so don't take the numbers from one place and apply them to another. A building like Việt Đức Complex with 11 ports serving the entire building, and a coffee shop with 4 ports serving passing customers. Before finalizing the number of ports, the survey team measures the existing electrical load of the building and counts the number of electric motorcycles actually parked.

Frequently asked questions

The parking garage in my apartment building has banned charging, so where can I install a station?

Install it outdoors in the building's courtyard, with a roof, separate from the parking garage. That's what we're doing at 43 Lê Văn Lương and at two buildings in the alley at 164 Khuất Duy Tiến.

How much space does a building need for a 10-port station?

The charging station is attached to the wall or column, and the main space occupied is for parking, which can use the existing parking area. The survey team will determine the specific location after viewing the premises.

What does the building management need to prepare before the survey?

The location of the parking area, information about the nearest electrical cabinet, and an estimate of the number of electric motorcycles owned by residents. These three things are enough to make a rough estimate of the number of ports that can be installed.

I rent a room in an alley on Vũ Tông Phan, where is the nearest charging station?

The Vui Vui Coffee & Tea station at 93 Vũ Tông Phan, Khương Đình ward. If you're near Quan Nhân, the nearest station is Duy Quân Coffee at 48.
